Source & Rights Data licensing for established companies
For owners, executives and data leaders

Your company’s knowledge has a value no balance sheet shows.

Leading AI labs now license real-world expertise: documentation, manuals, archives. I discreetly introduce companies to established data partners, so that what you have built up over years can become a recurring source of revenue.

How it works

Three parties, one introduction. The agreement is always between your company and the partner.

1 · Your company Owner of the data You describe, in broad terms, the collections you hold. Nothing is shared at this stage.
2 · Source & Rights Independent introducer I assess whether the data is of interest, explain the process and introduce you to a suitable partner.
3 · Data partner Established AI data company They evaluate the collection, agree terms with you directly and pay you under the licence.

AI models know the internet. What they lack is knowledge from practice.

Public text has largely been used up. What AI developers now need are well-kept, precise, specialist collections, the kind many established companies have been building for decades.

Demand

AI companies are actively seeking high-quality, domain-specific data that exists nowhere in public.

License, not sale

Depending on the agreement, you grant rights of use rather than transferring ownership. Your data remains yours.

Full control

You decide what is shared, in what form and on what terms. Nothing happens without your consent.

What qualifies

Collections with substance

What matters is quality, depth of expertise and clear rights, not volume alone.

Personal data is only considered in anonymised form or on a secure legal basis. That decision rests with you and your data protection officer.

I
Technical documentation and manualsOperating instructions, maintenance and service documents, specifications
II
Specialist archives and knowledge basesInternal wikis, training material, accumulated expert knowledge
III
Process and operational dataWorkflows, quality inspections, fault reports, in anonymised form
IV

V
Service and support enquiriesQuestions and expert answers from customer service and support, anonymised
VI
Test reports and expert assessmentsWhere the rights lie with you

What this can look like

Engineering & manufacturing Years of maintenance manuals and fault reports show a model how real machines fail, and how technicians diagnose them.
Publishing & media An archive of edited specialist writing, licensed for a defined use, while the copyright stays with you.
Translation & language services Professionally translated document pairs and terminology databases help models handle specialist language accurately.
Professional services Anonymised client questions and expert answers show models how professionals actually reason.

Illustrative examples. Whether and how a collection can be licensed depends on its rights, quality and the partner's needs.

Four steps, no obligation.

No data leaves your company before an agreement is in place. Every step happens only with your consent.

  1. 1 Confidential first conversation Thirty minutes by video or phone. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) beforehand, if you prefer.
  2. 2 Initial assessment Which collections qualify, in what form, with which rights? Based on your description alone.
  3. 3 Introduction to a partner I connect you with a suitable, established data partner and join the first conversation.
  4. 4 Your agreement You review and contract directly with the partner, supported by your own legal counsel.

What this is, and what it isn't

This is Licensing specialist data your company already holds An introduction to an established AI data partner Confidential from the first conversation, under NDA if you wish Free of charge to your company
This isn't A sale of your company, its data or its intellectual property Trading in personal data Legal, tax or data-protection advice; your own advisers decide A commitment: you can stop at any point

An introduction does not guarantee a partnership or a particular level of revenue. Source & Rights is independent and represents no platform; where a partnership is agreed, the partner may pay Source & Rights a referral fee. There is no cost to you.

Dr Milosz Paul Rosinski

After completing my doctorate at the University of Cambridge, I now work in the evaluation of leading AI models, and have led evaluation teams on large multilingual projects.

So I know both sides: what data AI labs actually need, and what companies rightly want to protect. I work in English, German and Polish.
